  13th (Reserve) Battalion The Hampshire Regiment WW1  

Formed in Parkhusrt, Isle of Wight, October 31st 1914, as a Service battalion formed from surplus officers and men of the 3rd, original commander Major Thornton an ex-officer of the Indian Army, part of K4 November 1914 : attached to 96th Brigade, original 32nd Division 10 April 1915 : became a second Reserve battalion (after the 3rd Bn) 1 September 1916 : became 34th Training Reserve battalion of 8th Reserve Brigade
