  The Royal Munster Fusiliers - This web site contains a condensed history of the origins of the 1st and 2nd Battalion's, their involvement in 'The Great War' of and the final disbanding of the regiment in 1922.

  2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment. - Southampton University Officers Training Corps can trace its origins back to November 1902 when some twenty or more students of the then Hartley University College joined together to form a Company of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment.
